PAINTING TIERS
At warpainter we offer three painting tiers as explained below.

BRONZE TIER
The bronze tier is designed for basic line troops and is ideal for hordes. Perfect option for people on a budget for large armies.

  • Techniques: Solid base coat  with some detailing on key areas utilising washes for shading and drybrushing for basic highlighting.
  • Result: A battle ready finish with a unified look to fit within an overall army.

SILVER TIER
A popular mid tier choice. Bringing more detail to each miniature so that individual squads and characters catch the eye. 

  • Techniques: Builds on the bronze tier’s foundation with further blending and highlights.
  • Result: A higher quality finish ideal  for characters, unit command or elite infantry

GOLD TIER
This top tier choice is ideal for centerpiece and display miniatures.

  • Techniques: Building on the previous two tiers with more advanced techniques including two step edge highlights, glazing, wet blending and weathering.
  • Result: A standout piece ideal for commanders or large centrepiece miniatures. Ideal for a display cabinet.

ARMY BUILDING OPTION

At warpainter we understand that not everyone has the time to read through rulebooks and lore to select and army. By choosing the army building option we offer a one-to-one experience that helps guide you through the decision making process. By researching everything from historical or lore-specific backgrounds we will build something that is entirely unique for you.

ASSEMBLY AND PAINTING

We offer optional assembly and cleaning service to prepare your miniatures for painting.

Meticulous care is taken to remove mould lines, smooth rough surfaces and fill any apparent gaps with modelling putty. Optional weapon barrel drilling available upon request.

Resin care

Resin assembly can be a daunting prospect for many hobbyists. At warpainter extra care is taken when prepping resin miniatures. Miniatures are cleaned to remove any releasing agent, warping issues are corrected and any connecting issues or bubbling are repaired using modelling putty. Prior to assembly we will assess for serious flaws with the intention of contacting the supplier for replacement.

BASING

At warpainter basing takes a key part in framing each individual miniature and bringing a cohesive thematic look for larger forces. The following levels are offered for every client.

BATTLEFIELD BASIC BRONZE 

Foundation level basing using sand gravel and flock to achieve rubble, plains and wasteland. Ideal for a unified look on larger armies with lots of troops. 

DISPLAY INTERMEDIATE SILVER

Adding to the previous level, more intricate details are added to bring further depth and character to the base. The addition of items such as skulls, crystals, water pools and levels make this choice ideal for smaller warband level forces or for an eye catching larger force.

SHOWCASE DISPLAY GOLD CUSTOM

Building on the previous two tiers the custom tier allows the miniature to tell its own story through the base. The addition of gold standard painting techniques alongside layered multi textured bases with the inclusion of thematic items such as trench works, corpses or ancient ruins. The goal is to create a miniature unique to you and is ideal for commander or centrepiece miniatures.
